1) Koh Phangan – My personal favourite (The Party Island)
đLocation: Gulf of Thailand, 12km north of Koh Samui (Surat Thani Province)
This island is one the craziest party place itâs really well known for its Full Moon Party, attracting thousands of travellers every month.
There are many beautiful beaches on this island which are really spectacular.
Why Visit?
⢠Home to the legendary Full Moon Party on Haad Rin Beach.
⢠â Stunning, less crowded beaches like Bottle Beach, Haad Yuan and Thong Nai Pan.
⢠â Magnificent Bottle Beach View Point.
⢠â Ideal place for yoga retreats and wellness centers in the whole Surat Thani district.
⢠â Home for some the crazy parties such as Jungle Experience, Halfmoon Festival, Eden Garden Party.
How to Get There?
⢠By Air: Fly to Koh Samui Airport or Surat Thani and then take a ferry tot Koh Phangan Island.
⢠â By Train/Bus: Take an over night train or bus to Surat Thani and then take a ferry to Koh Phagan.
Tip: I visited this place not during the Full Moon Party and it was almost empty. I rented a two wheeler and drove around all island enjoying itâs beauty in very less crowd.
2. Koh Tao – Scuba Diving Paradise.
đLocation: Gulf of Thailand, 21 km north of Koh Phangan (Surat Thani Province)
This island is very well known for Diving. Its crystal clear water invites many diving enthusiasts to witness some of the exotic marine life. Itâs one of the best and cheapest place to dive.
Why Visit?
⢠Incredible dive sites like Shark Bay, Chumphon Pinnacle and Hin Wong Bay.
⢠â Stunning viewpoints such as John-Suwan Viewpoint and Love Koh Tao Viewpoint.
⢠â Best place to witness Sunsets.
⢠â One of the best and cheapest places to get a scuba diving certification.
How to Get There?
⢠From Koh Phangan/Koh Samui take a 1.5-2 hour ferry.
⢠â From Bangkok: Fly to Koh Samui, then take a ferry or take an overnight train or bus to Chumphon or Surat Thani and then take a ferry to Koh Toa.
3. Koh Samui – Luxury, Nightlife and Adventure.
đLocation: Gulf of Thailand, Surat Thani Province.
This Island is Second largest island which offers one of the most exclusive luxury resorts, beach clubs and lively night life. Itâs more developed than Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

⢠â Itâs very popular for Honeymooners and Retireeâs.
⢠â Many Popular beaches such as Chaweng Beach, Lamai Beach, Maenam Beach.

⢠â This Islands offers waterfalls, Jungle trekking, ATV rides and Island hopping tours around Ang Thong Natinal Marine Park.
How to Get There?
⢠By Air: Koh Samui Airport (USM) has direct flights from Bangkok, Phuket and other international destinations.
⢠â By Ferry: Frim Surat Thani or Chumphon, this ferry takes around 1.5-2 hours.
